Physiotherapy after surgery has been part of everyday clinical practice for some time. According to the journal "physiopraxis" (2010;8[5]:32-5), however, many patients would also benefit from physiotherapy prior to surgery. If an operation, e.g. replacement of a hip or knee joint, is pending, the waiting time for the operation date could be used sensibly. Endurance, muscle and coordination training are part of the basic preparation. Positive effects are described as a lower complication rate after the operation and a significantly shorter hospital stay. Thus, the rehabilitation runs more smoothly and you are fit for everyday life again faster.Attention!


To avoid waiting too long after surgery, please book your rehabilitation appointments with us early (4 weeks before your surgery date).
